Sweet tribute by a loving grandson
Our president's grandson wrote this touching note explaining why his grandmother, Jane Johnson, is his hero.  She is very proud of him, and we are too.

Shake, Rattle, and Bowl 2013

Our annual fund-raising event, Shake, Rattle, and Bowl 2013, was a rousing success!  Eight teams competed for first prize during this fun, free-wheeling, family-oriented day of Wii bowling, and we saw some pretty impressive bowling skills on display!

Congratulations to our First Price and Second Prize teams!

First Prize winners!                                                                        Second Prize winners!

Our GPS members are working hard and having fun.  (That's a lot of bowling to keep track of!)

And Charles chills out after Shake, Rattle and Bowl 2013.

April is National Parkinson's Awareness Month

For Parkinson's patients, every month is Parkinson's Awareness Month, but this month, we join with national Parkinson's organizations in recognizing April as National Parkinson's Awareness Month.

We will be bringing proclamations declaring April as National Parkinson's Month to many of the city governments in our Galveston County area, to raise awareness of both Parkinson's Disease and of our group's community outreach to Parkinson's patients and their families.

Come join us on April 13, 2013 for our annual Shake, Rattle, and Bowl Wii Bowling Tournament.  This is a fun activity for all ages, with friendly competition, prizes, and refreshments.  You can sponsor a team, participate in a team, or just come to support your friends and have a good time.  We look forward to seeing you there - check our calendar for more details!

Interfaith CarePartners Caregiver Conference

Several GPS members recently attended a Caregiver Conference sponsored by Interfaith CarePartners.  These conferences are offered several times a year in various Houston locations.  Learn about upcoming Caregiver Conferences at the Interfaith CarePartners website.

Just having a little GPS holiday fun!

We sure enjoyed our holiday get-together at our favorite Mexican restaurant in December!

GPS President Speaks at Texas City "Hi, Neighbors" Club
