You Are Not Alone

We offer support for people with Parkinson's Disease, their families and caregivers through Gulf Parkinson's Source.

We meet twice a month on the first and third Thursdays, except in December.  You can review upcoming topics and meeting details on our Calender of Events.  Our meetings are free.  Please join us, and bring a guest.

We always welcome guests because the more your family, friends, neighbors, business associates, or anyone who has an interest in Parkinson's Disease can learn about the disease, the more support they can provide.  We also welcome students from our universities and colleges.

GPS is a local nonprofit organization by and for people with Parkinson's and their families.

Eight years after diagnosis

"Serving as treasurer has given me ownership in my support group. The meetings are something I look forward to. GPS gives me a sense of purpose in my life."

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson's disease through advocacy, education, exercise programs, outreach and peer support. Gulf Parkinson's Source seeks to improve the journey through Parkinson's Disease until a cure is found.

Jane, Age 62
Four years after diagnosis

"The day I was diagnosed, the doctor offered me little information or comfort.
I desperately wanted to talk to others with Parkinson's. It took four years, but with GPS, I have found a home. I learned Parkinson's is a part of life, not life itself."
